GiftInSeconds ("we", "us") is a free AI gift finder and gift guide blog at giftinseconds.com. This page explains what information is handled when you use it. If anything here is unclear, email us at hello@giftinseconds.com.

No account, no profile

You don't need an account to use GiftInSeconds, and we don't build user profiles.

What the gift finder does with your answers

When you use the gift finder, the choices you make (such as occasion, recipient, budget and style) and anything you type in the optional text box are sent from your browser to our server, which passes them to Anthropic's Claude API to generate gift ideas. We don't save your answers in a database. Please don't type names, addresses or other personal details into the text box. Anthropic processes the text under its own privacy policy.

To limit abuse, our server briefly holds the IP address of each request in its memory to count how often it is used. Our code does not write IP addresses to a database or log.

Cookies and local storage

• Your cookie choice. We store whether you accepted or declined in your browser's local storage so the banner doesn't keep reappearing.
• Analytics (only if you accept). If you accept, we load Google Tag Manager, which we use with Google Analytics to count page views and clicks on Amazon links. This doesn't identify you by name. If you decline, these tools don't load.
• Hosting. Our host, Netlify, processes each request and collects standard server logs and page-performance measurements such as load times, under Netlify's own privacy policy.

You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings, which brings the banner back.

Links to other sites

Gift links go to Amazon, and share buttons open Pinterest, Facebook, X or your email app. Those services set their own cookies and have their own privacy practices once you leave our site. Because we are an Amazon Associate, Amazon tells us when a purchase came through our link, but not who you are. See our Affiliate Disclosure.

We don't sell your data

We do not sell personal information.

Children

GiftInSeconds is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
